a 2022 product release campaign for blaque diamond’s latest addition to their f-series lineup, the f20.
Blaque Diamond is an aftermarket wheel company based in Los Angeles, CA. In need of visuals to accompany the release of their latest F-Series design, the F20, Blaque Diamond looked to DFYND to provide the visual components to help market their sporty new wheel. The F20 is a flow-forged wheel, making the barrel of the wheel lighter and stronger than a traditional full cast wheel. This structural rigidity and lightness makes the wheel more appealing to those looking for a wheel to match the performance nature of their sports car.
Blaque Diamond knew they wanted fast paced action in this product release. DFYND provided a few initial concepts keeping in mind fast paced action. One of those ideas revolving around the concept manifestation while dreaming. Manifestation is turning a longing or idea into a reality. With these two concepts in mind, DFYND storyboarded a video narrative that came full circle with the purchasing of a set of F20s.
With approval of the video concept, DFYND recruited Global Time Attack Pro Series winner Cody Miles to deliver the expert level driving required. Although all of the drifting shots would take place on a dry lake bed, where there is nothing to hit, many of the shots required our crew to get up close and personal with Miles’s as he slid Blaque Diamond’s on site representative, Alex Aydin’s, 2020 Aston Martin Vantage.
Directed and shot over 2 days by Christian J Williams, a photographer/filmmaker focused in the automotive/outdoor realms, the final video and photo assets were delivered to Blaque Diamond and utilized in their release of their F20 design.
